Fanfan Zhou is an independent filmmaker, producer based in Los Angeles. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from the California Institute of the Arts. Her work delves into the complexities of intergenerational relationships, exploring themes of identity crises and representation concerns.
She is the founder of MILKY WAVE(LLC), a fresh and unique independent film/TV Series production company committed to crafting compelling stories and exploring the boundless possibilities of storytelling through filmmaking. Her works have been screened at prestigious venues such as REDCAT(Los Angeles),American Documentary and Animation Film Festival, International Portrait Film Festival (Bulgaria), Paris International Short Festival, AmDocs Film Festival (Palm Spring), Film Diary NYC, Dubai Independent Film Festival, MicroActs (London), and the Ulsan International Film Festival (Korea). She is honored to have received Alexander Mackendrick Scholarship, CalArts Diversity Grant, and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Scholarship.
